Grapeland FFA Land and Homesite Teams Take Top Honors

FAIRFIELD – Grapeland FFA’s Land and Homesite judging teams competed in the Anderson-Houston District SCS contest held on Thursday, March 7.
The contest was held at the Amerada Ranch near Fairfield.
The Land Judging team of Cayden LeBlanc, Maddy McCombs, Taylor Pennington, and Preslie Reynolds finished first with Cayden LeBlanc placing as second high individual and Maddy McCombs third high individual. Cayden LeBlanc also won a $300 scholarship.
The Homesite team of JD Martin, Amy Crook, Alyssa Dilli, and Mary Jane Watson finished first with Mary Jane Watson placing as the fourth high individual, JD Martin placing fifth high, Amy Crook sixth high and Alyssa Dilli seventh high. The team’s next competition will be March 18 in Mt. Vernon.
