James “Red” Patrick

James “Red” Patrick, age 81, of Crockett passed away Friday, September 4, 2026 at his home. Red was born February 14, 1945 in Crockett to parents, Clifton Landfair Patrick and Clovis Irene Swearingin Patrick. He graduated from Crockett High School and then worked 44 years for Houston County Electric Coop as a lineman and engineer before retiring. He was a member of IBEW Union and also a faithful member of Harvest Church. Besides fishing, he enjoyed rebuilding things and built their home. Spending time with his family was his favorite thing to do, along with riding with his daughter, Julie.

Red is survived by wife, Carol Patrick of Crockett; daughter, Julie Patrick of Waco; granddaughters, Priscilla Patrick of Waco, Kyah Patrick of Waco; aunt, Amanda Swearingin Christian of Huntsville; several cousins and other relatives.  He was preceded in death by son, David Patrick; parents, Clifton and Irene Patrick; sister, Frances Patrick; brother, Carroll “Pat” Patrick.

Funeral services for James “Red” Patrick will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2026 at the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at New Energy Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00p.m. at the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
