Eddie B. Walker

Eddie B. Walker was the third child and son born to Jeff and Dora Mae Hatter Walker on January 19, 1945, in Grapeland, TX. Eddie B. attended W.R. Banks, and was a lifelong resident of Grapeland, TX. He united with Old Mt. Zion Baptist Church as a young man and later joined New Salem Baptist Church, under the leadership of Elder James Hall.  Eddie B. was a smart and talented man and was a dedicated employee of Vulcraft working many years in the Maintenance Department before retiring in 2008. In retirement he kept himself busy, by working as a welder, and a farmer and rancher.

Eddie B. loved growing vegetables in his garden, and cooking for his family and friends. He would also offer you a glass of his homemade wine to go with the dinner.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Dora Walker, son Keith Nathaniel, step-daughter Glenda Wilmore Lipkins, brothers Jeff Walker Jr., John Riley Walker, and Larry Walker.

Left to continue his legacy is wife, Ester Shepherd Walker; daughter Catrece (Damian) Walker Haynes; step-son, Wendell Wilmore;  daughter, Sade Scott, two (2) brothers; McArther (Jutta) Walker, Kent (Stephanie) Walker of Grapeland, TX; seven (7) sisters; Linda (William) Murphy of Dallas, TX and Ellen Shepherd, Mary (Elbert) Lomax, Shirie (Eugene) Taylor, Francis Phillips, Alphia (Vidar) Steinsbo all of Grapeland and Marietta Woodard of Elkhart, TX; eight (8) grandchildren, seven (7) step-grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
