Philip Harvey Saucier

Funeral services for Philip Harvey Saucier, 65, of Grapeland will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Chapel.  Interment will follow at Augusta Cemetery near Grapeland.

Philip passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.

He was born June 29, 1951, in Houston, Texas to Walter Earl and Elvera Poret Saucier.  He graduated from Milby High School in Houston and completed an Electrician apprenticeship at Hughes Tool Company.

He obtained an Associate’s degree from San Jacinto College. He worked as an instrument and electronic technician for T.A.S.C. in Houston.  Philip enjoyed camping and trail riding with his wife and friends. He was a rancher and also loved gardening. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Eric Hunter Saucier; and brother-in-law, Helmut Stuhlmann.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 13 years, Lisa Gilbreath Saucier; son, Phlip Ryan Saucier and wife Jennifer; brothers, David Saucier and wife Peggy, Walter Saucier and wife Tina, Burton Saucier, and Tim Saucier and wife Kim; sisters, Cynthia Jones and husband Fred and Cheryl Rodriquez and husband Roy; grandson, Philip Hunter Saucier, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Roy Rodriquez IV, Stephen Saucier, David Saucier, and Mathew Jones

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017, at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.
