Dr. Malcolm Don Kennedy

Funeral services for Dr. Malcolm Don Kennedy of Levelland, Texas were held at 10 a.m. on September 2, 2017 at Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial followed in Lynn Creek Cemetery in Jacksboro, Texas.

Dr. Kennedy was born March 24, 1933 in Grapeland, Texas to the late Dr. & Mrs. Malcolm Graham Kennedy.

He attended public school in Grapeland before moving to Levelland his sophomore year.

After graduating Levelland High School in 1950, Dr. Kennedy attended Texas Tech University, The University of Texas in Austin, and The University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston.

In 1957, Dr. Kennedy earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and began teaching general dentistry at The University of Texas in Houston.  He began his family practice on April 1, 1958 in Levelland. In 1997, Dr. Kennedy retired from dentistry after serving his community for forty years.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; children, Martha Rodgers of Fort Worth, Curt (Trlica) Kennedy of Pearland, and Kelly Kennedy of Midland; grandchildren, Michelle (Shawn) Myers of Fort Worth, Ashley Rodgers of Brownfield, Celeste and Jackson Kennedy of Pearland; great grandchildren, Kameron and Kaitlin Wade of Fort Worth, and Joei and Kyrn Rogers of Brownfield; sisters, Polly Parmer of Granbury, and Frances Kennedy of Abilene; and Godson, Richard Ellis of Levelland.
