Glen Hubert Vaughan

Glen Hubert Vaughan, age 88, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at his residence. Glen was born May 12, 1930 in Houston County, Texas to parents, Charlie Vaughan and Mary Lee West Vaughan. After graduating college, he served in the United States Marines.  Glen married Janet Rice and they were happily married for 56 years.   They enjoyed living on their farm, Glen with his beloved cows and Janet with her flowers.  He worked as the business administrator for M D Anderson and then later for the Crockett State School, jobs that he was very proud of.   Glen was also a member of the Crockett Lions Club and the First Baptist Church of Crockett.

Glen is survived by three children, Vanessa Stanley of Kennard, Dana Simmons of Kennard, Gregory Vaughan and wife, Alva of Houston; four grandchildren, Michael Stanley and wife, Shanna and children of Crockett, Angela Higbee and husband, Richard and children of Kennard, Sasha Cruz and Chris Ducker and children of Texas City, Terrah Breaux of Kennard; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He is preceded in death by wife, Janet Vaughan; son, Warren Terry Vaughan; granddaughter, Janet Elizabeth Vaughan; great-grandson, Christian Stanley; parents, Charlie and Mary Lee Vaughan; sister, Carolyn Alexander; nephew, Randy Alexander.

Funeral services were held for Glen Hubert Vaughan on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Johnny Morgan and Mike Orr officiating. Interment to follow in the Corinth Cemetery. Family received friends for visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening.
