Houston County Shooting Sports Club Fares Well in Competition

On Saturday, June 10, the Houston County Shooting Sports Club hosted its annual Whizbang in Crockett. Youth shooters from counties all over Texas came to our range and a total of 97 shooters enjoyed the competition. Houston County’s own shooters received many medals in the three events. Here are the results from our county:

Novice Division

Brooks Baker — 2nd in Skeet

Danielle Coots — 5th in Trap

Rylee Grossmann — 5th in Skeet

Junior Open Division

Brian Fiolek — 1st in Skeet, 2nd in Trap, 2nd in Whizbang

Joseph Tuggle — 5th in Whizbang, 5th in Skeet

Ladies Junior Division

Sydney Furrh — 2nd in Trap, 2nd in Skeet, 3rd in Whizbang

Intermediate Open Division

Jack Crow — 4th in Skeet

Kyle Grossmann — 5th in Skeet

Alex Long — 2nd in Whizbang

Preston Mooneyham — 2nd in Trap, 3rd in Skeet

Intermediate Ladies Division

Sydnee Craven — 1st in Skeet, 1st in Trap, 1st in Whizbang; HOA Buckle

Meredith Tuggle — 3rd in Trap, 3rd in Whizbang

Senior 1 Ladies Division

Camryn Craven — 2nd in Skeet, 2nd in Trap, 1st in Whizbang; HOA Buckle

Jamie Welch — 1st in Trap, 2nd in Whizbang, 3rd in Skeet

Senior 2 Open Division

Grant Brannen — 5th in Whizbang

Senior 2 Ladies Division
