Melba Katholeen Garivey
Melba Katholeen Garivey, age 70, of Crockett passed away November 7, 2016 in Tyler. She was born January 15, 1946 in Texas City to parents, Albert and Edith Smith Kindrick.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Gilbert Garivey of Crockett; children, Tracy Seeton of Kemah, Gilbert Garivey, Jr. and wife, Kim of Friendswood, Joe Garivey and wife, Tonia of Friendswood, Ricky Seeton and fiancée, Tiffany of Houston, and Tammy Taylor of Groves; grandchildren, Sarah Garivey of Louisiana, Garret Garivey of Friendswood, Caitlyn Pohlmeyer of Lake Jackson, Amanda Garivey of Friendswood, Joey Garivey of Friendswood, Krista Seeton of Houston, Gage Seeton of Houston, Kevin Davis of Nacogdoches, and Casey Davis of Austin; great-grandchildren, Logan, Chloe, and Carson; siblings, Linda Goswick and husband, Harry of Texas City, Wesley Kindrick and wife, Yvonne of Dallas; sisters-in-law, Angie Gonzales and husband, Ruben of Canyon Lake, Elida Gomez and husband, Greg of Glenn Cove, IL; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Edith Kindrick; son, Charles Seeton; brother, Robert Kindrick; and sister, Joyce Heneger.
Funeral services for Melba Katholeen Garivey will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2016 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Interment will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, November15, 2016 in the Houston National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 6055 South Loop East, Houston, Texas 77087-1005.
