Peggy Copaus

Peggy Copaus, age 77, of Kennard passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 in Lufkin. Peggy was born May 2, 1940 in Crockett to parents, Asa Cody Turner and Comilla Frizzell Turner. She was a beautician and attended the Kennard First Baptist Church. Peggy loved flowers, gardening and being in the yard with the redbirds and squirrels also her beloved dog, Bella and donkey, Jackson.

Peggy is survived by children, Lissa Wade and husband, Monty of Kennard, Bo Copaus and wife, Donell of Kennard, Debbie White and husband, Larry of Hazelton, IN, Tracy Sowell and husband, Bubba of Centerville; grandchildren, Heather Mooneyham and husband, David of Kennard, Seth Walling and and wife, Jamie of Leesville, LA, Cody Copaus of Lewisville, Konnie Goodson and husband, Jeremy of Latexo, D. J. Copaus and wife, Ashley of Kennard, Shelby Wade of Kennard, Emily Ashford of Centerville, David Ashford of Centerville, Kortney Vandick of Centerville; great-grandchildren, Preston and Peyton Mooneyham, Rian and Chandler Walling, Hunter, Haley and Sarah Goodson, Gracie, Hannah and Jessa Copaus; sister-in-law, Freda Rust of Kennard; special friend, Betty Taylor of Ratcliff; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by husband, Clem Alwyn Copaus, Sr.; parents, Asa Cody Turner and Comilla Turner; brothers, Roy, Cubby, Elmer Loyd and Joe; sister, Euba Mae.

Funeral services for Peggy Copaus were held at 2 p.m Wednesday, January 24, 2018. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jim Tom Ainsworth officiating. Interment followed in the Corinth Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to www.callawayallee.com
