Birtie Bowman

Funeral services for Birtie Bowman, 84 of Denson Springs, will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, August 13, 2017, at Muse Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Gary Bowman officiating.  Burial will follow in Muse Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Palestine.

Mrs. Bowman passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017, at her home.  She was born October 31, 1932 in Smith County to William Ruben Langston and Minnie Kite Langston.  She was a homemaker and a member of Muse Missionary Baptist Church. 

Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death her parents, her husband James “Peck” Bowman in 1987, four sisters, five brothers, and a granddaughter Diane Hernandez.  She is survived by daughters; Cathy Hernandez and husband Dan of Denson Springs, Connie Mulvehill and husband Edward of Houston, sons; James Bowman and wife Janice of New Caney, and Bruce Bowman and wife Kim of Cleveland, sister Mary Weaver of Palestine, brother Curtis Langston and wife Bonnie of Porter, grandchildren: Trey Hernandez, Timothy Mulvehill and wife Lauren, Garrett Bowman and wife Amanda, Jennifer Tye, Natalie Bowman, and Sarah Mulvehill, and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Trey Hernandez, Garrett Bowman, Timothy Mulvehill, Billy Fletcher, Joe Roy Fletcher, Ken Bowman and Dick Bowman.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Palestine.
