CROCKETT – Crockett Police Department (CPD) released a statement regarding the recent break in of a local business in the city. Crimestoppers is now involved, offering a cash reward for tips leading to the arrest of the four men.
CPD reported the robbery occurred Saturday, July 10, a little before 5 a.m. as four masked men were caught on security cameras breaking into a convenience store located at 800 N. Fourth Ave. in Crockett. While the men wore masks to conceal their faces, their clothing and shoes might lead to clues to their identity.
The men took a cash box and tried to open the ATM machine, but fled before officers could arrive. It is still unclear if the four are local to the area, or one of a rash of pass-through criminals who hit the area from time to time while traveling through the city.
Crime Stoppers has a cash reward available for the first, most accurate, anonymous tip correctly identifying the men. Anonymous tips are accepted only at 639TIPS.com, through Crime Stoppers’ app (639TIPS.com/app) and through calls to (936) 639-TIPS.
