Grapeland FFA Brings Home Top Honors

The Grapeland FFA participated in the Mt. Vernon Invitational Land and Homesite contest Monday March 18.

The Homesite Evaluation team placed first with Amy Crook posting the first high individual score of a 383 out of a possible 388. Mary Jane Watson was the second high individual with a 381, Alyssa Dilli was third high individual with a 377, JD Martin was the fourth high scoring individual with a 371 and Keke Harris was the tenth high scoring individual.

The Land Evaluation team also placed first in the contest with Preslie Reynolds bringing home top honors as first high individual. Madi McCombs finished as the fifth high individual, Taylor Pennington was the eighth high individual and Cayden LeBlanc was the 12th high individual.

There were over 90 contestants from 16 different schools in the competition. The teams’ next competition will be held on March 27 at Stephen F. Austin State University.
