Henry Albert Ham

Henry Albert Ham, age 76, of Crockett passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 in the Houston Methodist Hospital. Henry was born to Henry F. (Hank) Ham and Effie Virginia Lewis Ham on July 30, 1942 in Harlingen, Texas. He lived in Crockett for the past eight years. and attended the First Christian Church in Crockett. Henry was a construction worker and oil & gas man who worked for Heldenfels Construction, Brown & Root, Halliburton and Mustang Engineering. He went wherever the work was and traveled extensively throughout the United States and South America. He was a hardworking man who was never afraid of physical labor. He had a very limited education, yet was smarter than most.

He was a big man with a big heart and lived a big life. He was a mentor to many, a surrogate father to those who needed one and a friend to all who met him. Henry was loved and will be missed.

Henry is survived by wife, Linda Marsh Ham of Crockett; sons, William Morris and wife, Apolinar of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Donald Morris and wife, Chiquita of Memphis, TN; daughter, Bonnie Ham Warren and husband, Kevin of Forney; step-children, Tammy Allen and husband, Tim of Crockett, Kenny Marsh of Freer, Bettina Dickerson and husband, Jack of Tomball; grandchildren, Sean Morris of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Danny Morris and wife Nancy of Wisconsin, Casey Morris, Seth Warren of Mississippi, Olivia Warren of Forney, Joshua Neel and wife, Laura of Burleson, Katie Bruner and husband, Evan of Crockett, Shannon Young and husband, Mark of Ft. Worth, Brandon Marsh and wife, Brittany of Jacksonville, FL, Jordan Bunch and wife, Brittany of Houston, Elise Schenk and husband, Jason of Conroe, McKenzie Dickerson of Tomball; great-grandchildren, Julian, Dante, Serenity, Kai, James, Nora, Allison, Cooper, Finley, Tyler, Annalise; brother, Billy Ham, wife Margaret; sister, Ginny Pogue; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.   He is preceded in death by his father Hank, mother Effie; brothers Roger Ham and Garvin Ham.

Memorial services for Henry Albert Ham was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2018 in the First Christian Church with Rev. Tim Allen officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, 200 Gordon Drive, Crockett, TX 75835.
