CROCKETT – The Crockett Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its first business exposition from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25 at the Crockett Civic Center.

It’s like a health fair, but it’s for businesses,” explained Dan Huggins, Executive Director of the Crockett Area Chamber of Commerce. “It’s free to the public to come.”

Businesses from throughout the local area will have booths set up during the event to provide information on themselves to those in attendance, Huggins said.

Thursday’s expo will be the first hosted by the Crockett Area Chamber.

It’s done in a lot of bigger markets,” Huggins said. “I came from Abilene, and it’s huge there; you can’t get a booth. There’s, like, 250 booths there, and you have to get on a waiting list to get one.”

Items provided at each booth will include things such as samples of the work provided by the businesses or brochures with information pertaining to the services provided, Huggins said.

For more information on the expo, call Huggins at 936-544-2359.

The Crockett Civic Center is located at 1100 Edmiston Dr. in Crockett.
