Grover “J. R.” Junior Brown

Grover “J. R.” Junior Brown left this world at his home “On the Hill” surrounded by family on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the age of 84.  J. R. was born February 20, 1934 in Waller, Texas.  He was a tremendous husband, father and grandfather who loved hard work.  J. R. worked most of this life as an operator of heavy machinery and also worked various construction jobs all over the state of Texas.  J R was married for 60 years of Altie Jean Rhone Brown.  For many years, they resided in the suburbs of Houston before retiring to East Texas in 1995 where they built their dream house “On the Hill, next to God’s Country.”

J R is survived by his wife, Altie Jean Brown; son, Glaydale Brown and wife, Trisha of Splendora; daughters, Carolyn Caswell and husband, Kenneth of Cleveland, Darlene Morton and husband, Jerry of Grapeland. He was PawPaw to 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
