Amber Lea Lowery Kirksey

Amber Lea Lowery Kirksey, age 38, of Crockett, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Palestine Regional Hospital. Amber was born September 9, 1979 in Crockett to parents, John David Lowery and Melba Kilpatrick Lowery. She graduated as salutatorian from Latexo High School in 1998, afterwards graduating from Angelina College with an associate’s degree in accounting and was currently working at the First Presbyterian Church as administrative assistant.   Amber was a wonderful homemaker and loved all her family being the best wife, mother to her kids, daughter, sister and friend. She loved life, always pleasing and doing for others putting their needs first, a truly servant’s heart even acting goofy to keep everyone happy.   Amber loved to fish and was gifted and talented in arts loving photography and writing poetry.

Amber is survived by husband, Kenneth Kirksey of Crockett; children, Connor William Kirksey, Sophie Gabrielle Kirksey, Chloe Elizabeth Kirksey, Brianna Nicole Kirksey of Crockett; parents, John David and Melba Lowery of Grapeland; mother-in-law, Sharon Kirksey of Crockett; grandparents, Helen Kilpatrick of Crockett, Johnie and Rinthie Lowery of Latexo; brothers, Timothy Jason Lowery of Grapeland, James David Lowery of Nacogdoches; sister-in-law, Carla Miles and husband, Jonathan Miles of Georgia; nieces and nephews, Dusty Alan Lowery, Stormie Renee Lowery, William Loudon Miles, Marley Marie Miles; best friend, Cheryl Renee Johnson of Port Arthur; honorary brother, Jason Douglas Fountain of Michigan; honorary sister, Deanna Graziose of Conroe; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by grandfather, A. L. “Cotton” Kilpatrick; great-grandparents, Stokes and Edwina Reed, Dan and Eva Easley; Melvin and Geneva Lowery; great-aunt, Bobbie Easley.

Funeral services for Amber Lea Lowery Kirksey will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the North Loop Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Lowery and Rev. John Goss officiating. Interment will follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends for visitation Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Relay for Life.
