Rhonda “Crickett” Gale Brown

Doris Tate and Wallace J. C. Allman were blessed  on May 25, 1960 with a happy and vibrant daughter, Rhonda “Crickett” Gale Brown.  

She was raised in the Latexo community and attended Latexo ISD. 

As an adult, Rhonda worked as a caregiver, bringing laughter and joy to her clients.  Rhonda enjoyed life to the fullest.  

She loved spending time with her family, and loved dancing.

On August 1, 2017, God gained a beautiful dancing Angel.  Rhonda transitioned at Hospice of East Texas, in Tyler, TX, surrounded by the love and support of her family. 

She is preceded in death by her father Wallace J.C. Allman, brother Andy Tate, and grandparents Jonas and Ada Allman, Ed and Bertha Capps, and Woodrow and Lena Tate.

Left to cherish the fun times is her son, Floyd (Bo) Layton Tate Jr.,  Lovelady, TX; grandchildren Katie Ray, Colby Tate, and Adysson Tate of Lovelady, TX, and Ariel Tate, Woodlands, TX; Parents Ray and Doris Tate, Tyler, TX; sisters Cherilyn Allman Hall, Tyler, TX, Janice Allman Refior and Jerry, Gary, TX, Vicki Skufa and Jerome, Van Couver, WA, and Nancy Keel and Nathan, Slocum, TX; brothers Wallace J.C. Allman and Becky, Lovelady, TX, and Floyd Layton Tate, Tyler, TX; Fiance Lonnie Thomas, Lorena, TX, Daughter of Heart Crystal Tate Hooks, Lovelady, TX, Brother of Heart Bobby Bell, Tyler, TX; aunts Reba Gomez, Oglesby, TX, Evie Nichols, Mexia, TX, Barbara Rhodes, Thornton, TX, Mary Dee Phillips, Mansfield, TX; uncles Lloyd Kellum, Fairfield, TX, Joe Allman, Cabot, AR, James Capps, Mart, TX; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Services will be held Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Latexo Baptist Church, 11 a.m. Interment will be at McCarter Cemetery, Grapeland, TX.
