Jerry Earl Roch

Jerry Earl Roch, age 72, of Kennard, previously of Houston, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at his residence. He was born November 25, 1944 in Houston to parents, Eunice Sterling Roch and Ruth Orene Redding Roch. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. Jerry taught Sunday school at Piney Creek Baptist Church, attended Shady Grove Baptist Church, and was involved in the Houston County Nursing Home Ministry. Jerry was a Christian family man who loved the Lord.

He was a good brother and friend. Jerry loved spending all of his time with his loving wife, Ann.

He was very dependable and responsible. He loved to dance and cut up. Jerry was very meticulous and kept his yard immaculate. He worked hard all of his life and his last job was at Bering’s Hardware in Houston where he retired. Jerry is survived by his Wife, Gladene Ann Roch; Son, Charles Ray Fick and wife, Cara; Daughters, Terry Ruth Withers and husband, Jim, April Dawn Davis and husband, Michael, and Mary Ann Scott and husband, Freddie; Grandchildren, Ashley Pickens, Kaitlyn Denise Fick, Tierney Paige Fick, Justin Anthony Withers, Joel Andrew Withers, Jared Allen Withers, Jonathan Austin Withers, Jason Ashton Withers, Joshua Aaron Withers, Steven Michael Esman, Katie Elizabeth Esman, Emily Michaela Davis, Joseph Earl Chapa and Leslie Ann Roch; Great-Grandchildren, Caleb, Sarah, Cason, Jaxson and Carolyie; Sisters, June Angel, Annette Tom and Nancy Roch; and numerous other loving family and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by Father, E.S. Roch; Mother, Ruth Orene Roch; Brother, Richard Roch; and Sister, Patsy Pate.

Graveside services for Jerry Earl Roch were held Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 2:15 p.m. at the Houston National Cemetery with Rev. Terry Gibson officiating. The family received friends for visitation Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
