Slocum Homecoming King and Queen crowned

Slocum High School Senior Tabitha Schmitt was crowned Homecoming Queen and Slocum High School Senior Alex Maldonado was crowned Homecoming King during the Slocum 2017 homecoming festivities on Friday, Jan. 27 at the Slocum Gym.

Other queen candidates included: Maddie Bates, freshman; Andee Magee, sophomore; and Jessi Ives, junior.

Other king candidates included: Travis Neal, freshman; Chase Meredith, sophomore; and Edwin Martinez, junior.

The homecoming court included: Bailey Pearson and Josh Ives, freshmen; Madison Hall and Preston Goodson-Cox, sophomores; Kara Cumby and Colton Peters, juniors; and Tiffany Jackson and Garrett Stephens, seniors.

Crown bearer for the king was Cole Jordan. Crown bearer for the queen was Lacie Wages.

Master of ceremonies was Blair Kellum.
