Morgan Wayne Davis

Morgan Wayne Davis, 47, son of Jerry Wayne Davis and Sarah Annette Tomlinson Davis was born on August 28, 1969 in Dallas, Texas.  He died on December 23, 2016 in Spring, Texas.

Morgan spent most of his adult life working in the Houston area where he was the owner-operator of a successful heating, air conditioning, and appliance repair business.

He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Some of his favorite activities were:  collecting stamps, exploring antique stores in search of old PEZ dispensers and other treasures, playing chess and watching vintage movies and television shows.

Morgan was preceded in death by his mother Sarah Annette Tomlinson Davis and one sister, Tammy Elizabeth Saylor as well as his fraternal grandparents, Sam Davis and Lois Madden Davisof Crockett, Texas and his maternal grandparents, Jesse and Eloise Carter Tomlinson of Port Arthur, Texas and one aunt, Frances Tomlinson Lawley.

Morgan is survived by:  two sons, Taylor Wayne Davis and Cody Ray Davis, (Marin), of Ruston, Louisiana and one daughter,  Emily Harley Davis of Spring, Texas;  his father, Jerry Wayne Davis and stepmother, Barbara Davis of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two sisters, Laura Kellam and husband (Brad) of Houston, Texas and Rebecca Tracy of Hot Springs, Arkansas; step-sister, Catherine Murchison (Tommy) of Cabot, Arkansas, step-brother, John Helm (Shelle) of Southaven, Mississippi; brother-in-law, John Saylor of Kennewick, Washington; one uncle, Terry Davis of Crockett, TX and one aunt, Nancy Tomlinson; nieces and nephews Sayjo, Heather, and Alex Saylor,  Tyler Tracy, Kelley and Kelsea Kellam and numerous cousins and other family members.

A memorial service will be held in Crockett, Texas at the Central Baptist Church Annex at 1 p.m. January 21, 2017.
