Katherine Louise Larue

Katherine Louise Larue, age 84, left this earth on October 25, 2018 in Crockett, TX.  She was born on May 6, 1934 in Kerens, TX. She was a member of the Austonio Baptist Church for 44 years. She worked at Minimax Grocery and HEB as a meat wrapper until her retirement in 2001. She loved serving her community, working in her yard, and cooking for holidays as well as church events. Katherine shared a deep love for Christ and Gospel music and loved to whistle to the tune of country music while doing the dishes after a big family meal. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Katherine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Debbie Dodson of Kennard; brother, Sherald Hixon of Houston; sister, Pauline Koenig of Fulshear; grandchildren, Holly Hodges, Kelli Pilkington, Misty Dodson, Rachel Inman, Jade Dodson, Nick Dodson and Zach Dodson as well as many great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by husbands, Daniel Dodson, Marvin Campbell and Bill Larue; son, Bobby Dodson; sister, Mary Sheridan; brothers, Gerald Hixon and Bill Hixon. 

Funeral services for Katherine Louise Larue were at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Creek Cemetery.  Family receivef friends for visitation at 1:00 p.m. prior to services.
