Debra Kay “Debbie” Clendennen

Debra Kay “Debbie” Clendennen, age 61, of Crockett passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018. Debbie was born December 17, 1956 in Houston to parents, Edward “Ed” Schlitzkus and Helen Valusek Schlitzkus. Leadership and teaching came natural to Deb. She had a strong work ethic and was early to every meeting or gathering. Deb was very independent and often wanted to handle things her own way. She was always confident and loved to speak publicly. Deb rarely had time for herself, but always made time for the people she loved and cared about. She had a giving spirit and loved to spoil her grandkids.

She is survived by her husband, Gary “Paco” Clendennen of Crockett; children, Buck Clendennen and wife, Amie of Splendora, Ryan Clendennen and wife, Angie of Tarkington Prairie, and Sarah Clendennen of New Port Richey, FL; grandchildren, Jacob, Jace, Jaala, Morgan, Brody, and Henry; mother, Helen Schlitzkus of Crockett; numerous other loving relatives and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward “Ed” Schlitzkus and brothers, Eddie and Randy Schlitzkus.

Funeral services for Debra Kay “Debbie” Clendennen were held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2018 in the Cowboy Church of Leon County with Bro. Tuffy Loftin, officiating. The family received friends, Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
