Earl A. Hester, Jr.

Earl A. Hester, Jr., age 96, of Crockett passed away December 17, 2018 in Lufkin. He was born December 7, 1922 in Austonio to parents, Earl Hester, Sr. and Hallie Hallmark Hester. Earl served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a Baptist preacher retiring after many years of service and was currently a member of North Loop Baptist Church.

Earl is survived by his son, Mike Hester and his wife, Cindy of Jersey Village; grandchildren, Kelly McMichael and husband, Curtis of Tomball, Amy Martinez and husband, Chuck of Katy; great-grandchildren, Paige, Carly, Elijah, Canaan, Connor; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Hester; daughter, Deborah Hester; brother, Norris; sisters, Mildred, Laverne, Daisy, Joe.

Funeral services for Earl A. Hester, Jr. were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 20, 2018 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Bro. Dennis Lowery officiating. Interment followed in New Energy Cemetery. Family received friends for visitation at 9 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Loop Baptist Church, 415 NW Loop 304, Crockett, TX 75835.
