Corey Alexander Clerkley

Corey Alexander Clerkley went home to his heavenly Father on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017. He was born Oct. 19, 1971 in Palestine, Texas. Clerkley was a resident of Mesquite, Texas where he was a respiratory therapist in the medical industry. He also served in the United States Army.

Those left behind to cherish precious memories are his two children Averie and Austin Clerkley, sister Oddiea “DeeDee” Daughtery (Don), brother Kenneth Clerkley, nephew Richard Don Daughtery, Jr. (Ashley), niece Whitney Craig-Palomo (Michael), uncles James B. Weatherford (Alicia) and Calvin Jones, two great-nieces, very special friend Laura Perry, lifelong friend Brian Blohm, his children’s mother Maggie Brown, and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Onie Jones, mother Johnnie Carroll Elizabeth Clerkley, and uncle William Danny Weatherford.

Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017 at Green Bay AME Church, located at 120 ACR 2133 in Tucker, Texas. The services will be officiatied by Pastor Torrey Denson and the eulogy will be given Pastor Edward Hunt.
