Eunice Oliver Goodson Conner
Eunice Oliver Goodson Conner was born 8th of 10 children to Zibbie and Bunnie Oliver on August 31, 1929 in Tadmor, Texas in the Davy Crockett National Forest. At the age of 97, she passed peacefully in her home of Kennard, Texas nestled alongside the same Davy Crockett National Forest.
She was most proud of her beautiful and large family.
She was famous for her bread pudding and was also known for her crochet and quilt making over the years.
Eunice had an amazing capacity to love and married the love of her life, Rolan Goodson, at the young age of 16 and was his devoted wife for 55 years and mother to Linda, Leaon, Noel and Clell. She and Rolan were known for years of bee keeping and honey making. They even had their own special labels and shared honey with friends and family for many years.
She would later find love again, at the age of 77 and enjoy another 15 years of married life to Billie Dean Conner. This expanded her ever growing family.
Eunice lived the last four years of her life in the Pinecrest Retirement Community where she made friends and enjoyed playing bingo.
The last few weeks of her life were spent in the home she and Rolan had so proudly built together. She soaked up all the love and joy her family could shower on her.
During those weeks she loved looking at all the “pretty things,” they’d collected over the years, eating shortbread cookies and pouring honey over everything on her plate.
She was Momma, MawMaw, Grandma and Sister and leaves a behind a beautiful legacy of faith in Jesus, and love for her family.
Eunice is survived by children, Linda Andrews and husband, Larry, Leaon Goodson and wife, Barbara, Clell Goodson and wife, Jane; children by marriage, Billy Conner Jr, Deborah Freeman, Johnny Conner, Russell Conner; sister, Mavis Marek; sister-in-law, Oueida Oliver; grandchildren, Natalie Picha and husband Darrell, Julie Campbell and husband Daniel, Brad Andrews, Melissa Blackburn and husband Kevin, Gayle Mann and husband Jon, Matthew Goodson, Cort Andrews and wife Kelly, Wendy Ford and husband Mickey, Shawnette Breaux, and Amy Everrett; numerous great-grandchilren and great-great-grandchildren, Leah Castorena, Lacey Leonard, Layne Leonard, Luke Andrews, Logan Andrews, Maeve Andrews, Hunter Andrews, Avery Warren, Dylan Campbell, Kaitlyn Campbell-McAllen, Bethanie Lewing, Garrett Lewing, Logan Blackburn, Alaixa Foster, Waylon Foster, Walker Foster, Elizabeth Ford, Cody Goodson, Chelsea Mann, Caleb Mann, Emily Dewrell, Andrew Dewrell, Bennett Dewrell, Barrett Wright, Beckett Wright; numerous nieces and nephews and a large and fruitful family.
