Darla Nell Lawrence

Darla Nell Lawrence, age 86, of Lovelady passed away Monday, July 27, 2026 at Whitehall Rehab and Nursing Center. Darla was born June 8, 1940 in Lovelady to John Harvey Poe and Nelma Louise Arnold Poe. She was an administrative assistant for Texas Department of Transportation for many years. Darla loved her family and enjoyed playing cards with her friends.

Darla is survived by son, John Lawrence of Lovelady; grandchildren, Emily and Jordan of Houston, Christina of Houston, John Timothy of Lovelady, Ty of Lovelady, Peter of Lovelady, Jacorius of Lovelady, Sarah and Brandon of Midlothian, Jarod and Sarah of Boyd; great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Cora; sister, Carol Stone and husband, Steve of Huntsville; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. 

She was preceded in death by husband, Roland Lawrence; son, Jerry Don Lawrence.

Graveside services for Darla Nell Lawrence were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2026 at the Lovelady Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Leon Wallace officiating.
