GRAPELAND – The Grapeland Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a “Community Leadership Forum,” this Friday beginning at 5:30 pm.

Attendees will be able to participate in an evening of discussion on strategies to build an engaged community of leaders, according to a Facebook post from the Chamber.

The event will give those in attendance the opportunity to learn about community development, discuss community needs, prioritize possible projects and define a plan to execute together.

The forum will be held at the Grapeland High School Gymnasium and will last from 5:30 until 8:30 pm. Dinner will be provided.

All community members who would like to lead and support the development of Grapeland are invited to attend.

There will also be a guest speaker at the event – Dr. Michael Fortunato, a founding partner of Creative Insights Consulting.

According to the Facebook post, “Michael’s research and practice have focused on developing better strategies to revitalize rural communities and economies – and declining cities and towns – through more effective collaborative action, entrepreneurship and community engagement.”
