Darling Ingredients Groundbreaking Scheduled

 GRAPELAND – The much anticipated groundbreaking of the Darling Ingredients plant – scheduled for construction in Grapeland – has been set.

According to information from Grapeland city officials the date will be Tuesday, Nov. 28 and the groundbreaking ceremonies will begin at 11 a.m. The plant’s physical address will be 930 FM 227E in Grapeland.

“The city of Grapeland will begin to see the development of the site for the new Darling Ingredient’s Industrial Plant,” according to a press release from the city of Grapeland.

“The new plant will be developed by Darling Ingredients, a global company, with a growth platform for the development and production of ingredients used in food, pharmaceutical, feed, bio-energy, fertilizer and food service industries,” the media release further stated.

Darling Ingredients currently operates facilities at over 200 locations on five continents and “… Grapeland is fortunate to be the recipients of one of the company’s newest additions,” according to city officials.
