Roger Mathew Hewett

Roger Mathew Hewett, age 74, of Crockett passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017. He was born December 2, 1942 in Westville, Florida to parents, Alfice Glenn Hewett and Ethel Mae Davis Hewett. Roger served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Roger was an employee and volunteer in the Boy Scouts of America for much of his adult life and was a teacher and sculptor.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cerita Hewett; and children, Emily Vance of Dallas, LeeAnn Hewett of Lewisville, Caroline Ho and husband, Kiem of Paradise Valley, Arizona, Raechel Shelton and husband, Wayne of Sandy, Utah, Robin Grisel and husband, Jeremy of Lufkin, Edward Hewett and wife, Alisha of Crockett, and Benjamin Hewett of Nassau Bay; grandchildren, Cameron Vance, Madeleine Shelton, Lenae Shelton, Collin Shelton, Hallie Shelton, Sophie Shelton, Jonah Ho, Caleb Ho, Sydney Ho, Sable Grisel, Valiant Grisel, Cannon Grisel, Emma Grisel, Elena Hewett, Isabel Hewett, Holland Hewett, Jarom Hewett, Carter Hewett, Eve Hewett, and Olivia Hewett; brothers and sisters, Marian Hewett Sharp and husband Ross, Pat Hewett, David Hewett, Elborn Hewett and wife, Beverly, Wendall Hewett and wife, Janice, Patricia Hewett Buckley and husband, Mike, Billy Hewett and wife, Sandi, Betty Hewett Henderson and husband, Allen.

He was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Cordon Shelton and Jackson Hewett; parents, Alfice and Ethel Hewett; brothers, Al Hewett, and Ralph Hewett; sister, Sheila Hewett.
