WEEKLY BIBLE COMMENTARY by Wes Woodard 8-13

Many times we see God, the Father, working with the other two members of the Trinity or with other men to accomplish His will.  In Genesis 1:26 it says, “Let’s make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.

In Revelation 4:9 the Father is sitting on His throne with 24 elders around Him worshipping Him.

Then in Revelation 5:10 it says “…men from every tribe and tongue and people (group) and nation to be a kingdom of priests to our God; and they will reign on the earth.”  (Others ruling with God and His Son.).

In Titus 1:5, the Apostle Paul says to Titus, “For this reason I left you in Crete, that you might set in order what remains, and appoint elders in every city as I directed you.”

The pattern is clear: a local church should be guided by older, godly men called elders, and certainly not one man.
