Elizabeth (Liz)  Ann McKinney Dreher

Elizabeth (Liz)  Ann McKinney Dreher age 71, passed away July 14, 2017 peacefully surrounded by her family and friends at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, TX.

Liz was born September 26, 1946.

After graduating from South Houston High School she married Robert E. Dreher, Jr. (Bob) on August 20, 1965 in Pasadena, Texas and they were lovingly married for 51 years. She was a faithful and active member of Deer Park Church of Christ for 42 years and after retiring from Kinder Morgan, moved to Grapeland, TX and became an active member at Grace Street Church of Christ. Liz was a loving and caring woman who loved serving our Lord and Savior and lived her life for God first, family second, and serving and loving others after that. She was a kind and loving Christian, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She had the heart of a servant and gave to so many. Liz enjoyed reading her Bible and preparing for her Bible study among gardening, traveling and especially spending time adoring her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, J.W. (Point) and Margaret McKinney.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Dreher of Grapeland, TX; her daughter and son-in-law, Whitney and Danny Brummett of Whitehouse, TX; her son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Heidi Dreher of Dayton, TX; her sister and brother-in-law, Judy and T.W. Mask of Crockett, TX.; her sister and brother-inlaw, Beverly and Edward Palms of Grapeland, TX; her grandchildren Trey and Landry Dreher, Bailye Brummett, Lane Dreher and Skyler Dreher. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you please make a donation to the Grace Street Church of Christ, Crockett TX or to the American Diabetes Association.

The Memorial Service will be held at Grace Street Church of Christ, 124 South Grace Street, Crockett, TX on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 2 p.m.
