Billie J. Cook

Mrs. Billie J. Cook, age 86, of Crockett passed away Friday, May 26, 2017. Billie was born September 1, 1930 in Augusta, Texas to parents Thomas Truett Lovell and Ethel Lee Moore Lovell. Her life impacted countless strangers and friends with her love and kindness.  Billies’ prayers and spiritual strength were a testimony to who she was, her favorite advice being, “Praise God and thank Him for everything just as it is…”

Billie started her real estate career in the early 1960’s and opened Billie Cook Real Estate in 1981 after moving to Crockett.  Her most special achievement was being the greatest Mom, Grandmother and Friend ever! She was loved by many.  Billie is survived by her daughters, Karen Holbrook Tullis of Crockett, Kris Holbrook Dyches of Crockett; sons, Kyle Holbrook and wife, Darla of Crockett, Kevin Holbrook and wife, Dusty of Lovelady; grandchildren, Carly Tullis, Brandon Mason and wife, Dixie, Baylee Dyches, Aaron Holbrook, Madison Holbrook, Megan Holbrook, Maycie Holbrook, Riley Wiggins, Lucky Holbrook; great-grandchildren, Gracie-Ann and Hollis Mason, Brody and Raeah Johnston, Holleigh Holbrook; brothers, Harold Lovell, Gary Lovell of Weches; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by daughter, Kathy Holbrook; husband, Jay H. Cook; parents, Truett and Ethel Lovell.

Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the Weches Cemetery with Bro. Gene Kellum officiating.  Arrangements were under the direction of Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
