Interference with 911 Call Ends in Arrest

PALESTINE – Just after 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 23, Palestine Police officers responded to a disturbance call on Sheridan Drive.
Officer Rodriguez arrived at the scene of the disturbance and made contact with one of the parties involved, identified as Thomas Martinez, 48.
PPD Corporal Partin, assisting, spoke with the other involved party who was identified as Shari Martinez, 54.
In his report, Rodriguez stated Partin joined him and Thomas Martinez on the porch.
Partin informed Rodriguez he had seen a video, provided by Shari Martinez, where he observed Thomas take Shari’s cell phone as she stated she would call 911 in the video.
Thomas Martinez was placed under arrest for interference with an emergency request for assistance and transported to Anderson County Jail.
