Linda Stowe Watson

Linda Stowe Watson, age 72, of Elkhart passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at her residence.  Linda was born December 17, 1943 in Crockett to parents, Lee Dell Stowe and Trucie Merle Hughes Stowe.  She taught at Mary Allen College in Crockett and was an avid reader and writer and loved to play cards.  Linda had a servant’s heart with patience and optimism which made her a real lady “complete class act”. She was a wonderful cook having a deep love for her children and grandchildren and was totally dedicated to her family.  Linda was a member of the Grapeland First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children, Rene “Beau” Brown, Jr. and wife, Myra of New Caney and Teresa “Terri” Brown of Conroe; grandchildren, Jarrod Brown of Georgia, Kyle Brown of Georgia, Eli Brown of Mont Belvieu, Tony Brown of New Caney; great-granddaughter, Tatum Brown of Baytown; mother, Trucie Merle Stowe of Elkhart; niece, Tammy Price of Oklahoma; great-niece, Christi Sewell of Oklahoma; very close cousin, Norma Pyle Exley of Crockett; beloved toy poodle, Zoey and her beloved Stowe family.

Linda is preceded in death by husband, John Watson; father, Lee Dell Stowe; brothers, Jimmy Stowe and Johnny Stowe.  Funeral services for Linda Stowe Watson will be Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Bro. Darryl Bennett officiating.  Interment will follow in the San Pedro Cemetery.  Family will receive friends for visitation Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  Online condolences may be made at www.callawayallee.com
