Esther 5:9-12 -“Haman Glories in His Successes”
“Then Haman went out (from the King)… pleased of heart…. Then Haman went to his house and sent for his friends and his wife, Zeresh. Then Haman recounted to them the glory of his riches, and the number of his sons, and every instance where the king had magnified him and promoted him above the princes and servants of the king. He also said, ‘even Queen Esther let no one but me come with the king to the banquet which she prepared; and tomorrow I am also invited by her with the king (to another banquet).’”
At this point in the story Haman is feeling real good about life. However, one key event is going to change all of this. We will look at this next week, Lord willing.
