GISD to Hold Community Meeting on New Elementary Possibility

GRAPELAND – The Grapeland Independent School District will hold a public meeting Monday night, Aug. 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the Grapeland Elementary School Cafeteria to get feedback from the community on the possibility of building a new elementary school.

The tentative meeting agenda is listed below:

• Call Meeting to Order
• Public Meeting to gather information and feedback from the community about the possibility of building a new elementary school.
• The Board will go into executive session under authority of Texas Government Code Section 551.074 and 551.072.

•  Reconvene open session.

• Consideration and action, if any, on additional Executive Session Items

• Discussion and action to approve contract with architect to pursue options for a new elementary school.
