CROCKETT – The Crockett Police Department and Crockett Fire Department are in partnership with Sears, HEB, The First Assembly Church and several other sponsors again this summer. This time, the group is hosting a ‘Back to School Fun Day’ at I.T. Williams park.

The festivities will begin at 10 a.m. on Aug. 19. “There will be prizes for just about everything,” CPD Lt. Clayton Smith said. “Just random stuff, even,” he laughed.

“There will be an 18 foot waterslide from Garcia Party Rentals for the kids, hot dogs from HEB, water toys and a whole lot more,” he added.

“Because of the water slide, if it’s just sprinkling or raining a little, we’ll probably just keep the party going. If it’s bad weather though, we will figure something else out,” he said.

“There are also some special surprises are in stock, but I’m keeping them secret,” Smith said.

“All kids are invited, not just kids from around here. We want lots of kids to show up and enjoy the last few days of summer vacation,” he added.

Anyone who needs more info or would like to help out can call Lt. Clayton Smith at CPD at 936.544.2021.
