Winfred Wade Walker

Winfred Wade Walker, 63,  of Houston, TX, was born October 22, 1953, in Houston, TX., to the late R.L. Walker and Sammie Nathaniel Walker.

Winfred attended Kashmere High School and went on to attend Prairie View A&M University majoring in Mechanical Engineering.  He   also served in the Army National Reserve and received an honorable discharge for services in Fort Polk,     Louisiana, and Fort Smith, Arkansas.

 Winfred “Wade” Walker was baptized at Trinity Garden Church of Christ where he was a member until he moved his membership to The Church of Christ in Fifth Ward and was faithful until his health failed.

Winfred “Wade” Walker, peacefully departed this life on Wednesday , October 11, 2017. 

 He was preceded in death by both parents R.L. Walker and Sammie Nathaniel Walker, and brother-in-law  David English.

 He leaves to cherish his memories, several devoted sisters and brothers: Frederick Walker (Cynthia) of Houston, TX., Mary Lewis of Houston, TX., Pearlene  Jerome of Houston, TX., Gladys Johnson (Jerry, Sr.) of Tyler, TX., Robert Walker of Dallas, TX., and Ethel English of Camarillo, CA., along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017 at 10 a.m.  at Fifth Ward Church of Christ, 4308 Stonewall St. in Houston with Otis Philips officiating.
