Steven Deryl Sherley

Steven Deryl Sherley, age 34, of Crockett passed away October 14, 2017. 

He was born April 17, 1983 in Sugarland to parents, Deryl Vernon Sherley and Margie Maria Powell Sherley. 

He is survived by fiancée, Daniele Amezquita of Latexo; sons, Jacob Colby Sherley of Latexo and Dakota Blake Sherley of Latexo; mother of sons, Jennifer Keels of Latexo; mother and step-father, Margie and Mike Wendel of Crockett; father, Deryl Sherley of Latexo; grandmothers, Joyce Rains of Crockett and Ella Sherley of Carthage; sisters, Sheila Graham Stockton of Latexo, Amanda Wendel and husband, Ronnie Reedle of Palestine; brothers, Michael Sherley and wife, Danielle Melson of Latexo, Kyle Wendel of The Woodlands; nephews, Trey Graham of Latexo and Zakry Reedle of Palestine; nieces, Sheylynn Graham of Crockett, Bria Sherley of Latexo, Berklee Sherley of Latexo, and Bentlee Reeder of Latexo; great-nephew, Rackson Graham of Crockett, great-niece, Paisley Manning of Crockett; special cousins, Kimberly Holcomb of Houston, Beth, Bri and Charlie Hyde of Crockett, Stacie Stewart of Latexo and Timothy Catoe of Latexo; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jay Rains, Don Sherley, Frank and Laura Wendel; great-grandmothers, Thelma Stewart and Marie Larson.

Funeral services for Steven Deryl Sherley were held Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Dr. Tim Allen officiating. 

Interment followed in the Latexo Cemetery.
