WEEKLY BIBLE COMMENTARY by Wes Woodard 6-1

When I was growing up I was taught that Marriage was the third most important decision of life; the most important was to receive Jesus into your heart as Savior; the second, to dedicate your life to Jesus (wanting His will done in all things); and thirdly who you chose to marry.  I accepted Jesus as my Savior at age 11, and then was baptized by immersion.

At 18, I dedicated my life fully to God. Then at age 24 I married a Christian young lady on June 7, 1963.

We soon will be married 54 years. In I Corinthians 7:1, the Apostle Paul says it this way, “But because of immoralities (their possibly), let each man have his own wife, and each woman …. Her own husband.”
