Sara Margaret Cook Harrison

Sara Margaret Cook Harrison, age 72, of Crockett, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 in the Crockett Community Care Center.  Sara was born July 25, 1943 in Lufkin in parents, Carmen Alexander Cook and Ruby Herrick Cook.  She attended East Texas Baptist College and also SFA.  Sara attended the first nurse’s aide class at Lufkin Memorial Hospital and retired as a stocker for Wal-Mart in Crockett.

She is survived by brother, Carter Cook and wife, Martha of Austin; stepson, Jessie Harrison and wife, Kathy of Kennard; step-daughter, Deborah Talton and husband, Mike of Boaz, AL; step-grandchildren, Jonathan Harrison, Jessica Harrison, Marie Bynum and Deidra Puckett; step-great-grandchildren, Tristin Johnston, Jillian Harrison, Mallory Farmer, Trevor Bynum; Caleb Puckett; nephew, Judd Cook and wife, Jennifer; niece, Gail Cook Neighbors and husband, Chris; sister-in-law, Ethel Harrison of Kennard; special friends, Kathryn McCall, Pam Rains, Joan Woolley and Helen Lacy.  Sara is preceded in death by husband, John Edd Harrison in 1992 and daughter, Teresa Harrison in 1992 and parents, Carmen and Ruby Cook.

Funeral services for Sara Margaret Cook Harrison was held Monday, February 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles McClure and Rev. Keeney Dickinson officiating. Interment followed in the Ivie Cemetery.
