Robert Lorenzo “Bob” Keels Jr.

Mr. Robert Lorenzo “Bob” Keels, Jr., passed away Friday, December 16, 2016, at his grandson’s home in Wills Point surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born July 7, 1933 in Lovelady to Robert Lorenzo Keels, Sr. and Willie Bell Williamson Keels, one of eight children.

He served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Army and was a 32 degree Master Mason in Good Standing of Memorial Lodge #1298 Grand Lodge of Texas, A.F. & A.M.

Mr. Keels is survived by his children, Robert Burnett Keels of Texas, Carla Rizzo of East Tawakoni, Melva Jo Pate of Ohio; grandchildren, Samuel Audry Broadway and wife, April of Wills Point, Christine Marie Echols of East Tawakoni, Larry Robert Echols and wife, Ashley of Woodland Park, CO, David Wayne Goins of Dallas, Wayne Goins of Ohio, Tiffany Goins of Ohio; great-grandchildren, Kimber Mae Broadway, Breck Austin Echols; brother, Kenneth Keels and wife, Sally of Streetman; sister, Joanne Hargett of Magnolia; numerous other loving relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Willie Bell Keels; brother, Gene Keels; sisters, Mavis Carmichael, Faye Goldenberg, Fern Shaver, and Dorethea Yarbrough.
Funeral services for Robert Lorenzo “Bob” Keels, Jr. was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel.
