Roland C. Snell

Roland C. Snell, age 75, of Livingston passed away early morning Sunday, October 2, 2016. He was born April 25, 1941 to parents, Nadine and E. B. Snell. Roland enlisted in the United States Army at 17 years of age and retired after serving our country for 30 years. As an avid hunter and angler, he loved being outdoors and could often be found walking his beloved black lab Molly.

Roland was preceded in death by his mother, Nadine Wootton; father, E. B. Snell; and stepfather, Louie Wootton that he was close to.

Roland is survived by children, Marla Rambin and husband, Rick of Livingston, Shawn C. Snell of Livingston, and Shawndra Graham and husband, Randy of Lewisville; grandchildren, Ronnie Sims of Round Rock, Krystal Atkins of Lewisville, Natalie Rambin of Kingwood, Bethany Boyd of Garland, Ashley Stolte of Carrollton and Shon Luk Snell of Dubai, UAE; great-grandchildren, Izabella Sims, J.C. Sims, Dustin Sims, Sophia Sims, Gwen Atkins, Chevy Atkins, Tyler Padgett, Grace Padgett, Nathan Boyd, Corra Boyd and Willow Boyd; sisters and brothers, Frances Simon, Kathryn Smith, Gene Snell and Wayne Wootton; nieces and nephews, Kathryn and Dale Lane, Carla and Sean Harrold, Randy and Tracy Whitfield, Jill Smith, Neil and Jeannie Smith, Tammi and Allen Clark, Patty and Rick Crick, Chad Wootton, Wendy and David Gunderson, Gena Edwards, Eva Marie Phillips, Emily and Jerry Marshburn and Teresa Simon; previous wives, Sandra Snell Pyburn and Barbara Sue Snell with whom he remained close friends until his passing.

Military graveside services for Roland Curtis Snell will be held Monday, October 10, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. in the Houston National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
