Bobbie Rae Collins
Bobbie Rae Collins, age 82, of Grapeland, departed from this Earth to her heavenly home on Sunday, the 3rd day of September, 2017. Charles Payton Richardson and Trudie Spillers welcomed Bobbie Rae into this world in Honey Island, Texas on the 28th day of September, 1934. Bobbie was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker and faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Grapeland.
Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Trudie Richardson; husband, Wayne Collins; sisters, Charlsie Waldrep, Patsy Richardson Allen and brother, Calvin Richardson.
Bobbie Collins is survived by her daughter, Nell Cryer and husband Herman of Ennis; sons, Donnis Collins and wife Rhonda of Grapeland, Bruce Collins and wife Teresa of Grapeland, Danny Collins of Houston; sisters, Lou Dell Richardson of Livingston, Eddie Brackin of Livingston; brother, Marvin Richardson of Lumberton; grandchildren, Jennifer Warren-Gash and husband Ali of Spain, Melanie Leonard and husband Dan of Grapeland, Thomas Cryer of Ennis, Phillip Cryer of Ennis, Elizabeth Cryer of Ennis, Michael McCurley and wife Courtney of Grapeland and Daniel McCurley and wife Tara of Crockett; great grandchildren, Hunter Collins, Brittany Ly, Kaleb Leonard, Kyler Snell, Karter McCurley, and Winston Warren-Gash; great-great grandchildren, Sebastian Ly and Abrim Ly.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 8th day of September, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Grapeland.
Funeral service and a celebration of Bobbie’s life will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 9th day of September, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Grapeland. Todd Nivens and Bro. Billy Brackin will officiate. Interment will follow in Parker Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jim Boyd, Ted Salmon, Tommy Cobb, Jeff Brown, Kenny Peterson and Mitchell Huff.
