Charles William Bogutzki

Charles William Bogutzki, 90, passed away quietly in his sleep at his home in Crockett on Thursday, November 3, 2016. He was born February 24, 1926 in Swoyerville, PA to William and Anna Yonkosky Bogutzki. Charles served in the United States Navy during WWII as a Gunners Mate 2nd Class on the Destroyer U.S.S. Shaw DD-373. Charles was active in his church, St. Francis of the Tejas Catholic Church, and led the Rosary every Sunday.

Mr. Bogutzki was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Mildred “Dee” Bogart Bogutzki; son, Michael Bogutzki; daughter, Luci Bogutzki; daughter-in-law, Gitta Bogutzki; and brother, Joseph Bogutzki.

Charles is survived by his daughters, Carole and Mary; sons, Charles Pete, Joe, and John; daughter-in-law, Cynthia; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Billy.

Funeral Mass for Charles William Bogutzki will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2016 at St. Francis of the Tejas Catholic Church, 609 N. 4th St. Pallbearers include sons, J. D. and John, grandsons, Keith and Michael Ryan. Honorary Pallbearer will be Patrick Strange. The family received visitors from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday and 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home. A Rosary was recited 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel.
