Weekly Bible Commentary by Wes Woodard – Esther 7:1-10 – “Zeresh’s Prophesy Comes True!”

“Now the king and Haman came with Esther to her banquet on the second day. The king ask, ‘What is your petition Queen Esther? It shall be granted to you, up to half the kingdom.’ Then Queen Esther replied, ‘If it pleases the king let my life be given to me and my people, for we have been sold to be annihilated.’ Then the king ask Queen Esther, ‘Who is he and where is he who presumes to do this.’ Esther replied, ‘The foe and the enemy is this wicked Haman!’ Then Haman became terrified … The king arose in anger and went outside into the palace garden. While the king was outside, Haman begged for his life before Queen Esther. When the king returned he thought that Haman was assaulting the queen. The king immediately orders his servant to execute Haman. The servant tells the king that Haman has already built a gallows on which to hang Mordecai. The king orders Haman to be hung on his own gallows.”

“So they hanged Haman on the gallows which he had prepared for Mordecai and the king’s anger subsided.” Esther 7:10 N.A.S.V.

Many have tried to destroy the Jews down through the ages. This is impossible because God has promised the land of Palestine to them as an eternal inheritance. And, one day God will regather all of the believing Jews (who believe in Jesus of Nazareth to be the true Messiah) back to their land. And this same Jesus will rule on David’s throne from Jerusalem for a thousand years.
