Kathy Petterson Smith

Kathy Petterson Smith, age 63, of Crockett passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at her home. Kathy was born October 8, 1961 in Crockett to parents, John Davis Petterson and Waneatha Langley Petterson.  She was a caregiver and homemaker and attened the First Baptist Church.

Kathy is survived by husband, Edd Smith of Crockett; son, John Pablo and wife, Cheryl of Freeport; grandchildren, Cordell Ferguson of Porter Springs, Chiane Luce and husband, Alton of North Zulch; great-grandchildren, Brixley and Bubba of Grapeland; brother, Richard Petterson and wife, Sarah of Crockett; sister, Dimple Helbert of Diboll; several nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by parents, John Davis and Waneatha Petterson; and brother, Joe Petterson.

Funeral services for Kathy Petterson Smith were held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2025 at the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel.  Interment followed in the Percilla Evergreen Cemetery.  Visitation was Sunday at 1:00 p.m. prior to service.
