Earl Moroni Hyatt

Earl Moroni Hyatt, age 67, of Grapeland, passed away on January 26, 2023 with his family by his side. 

Earl was born on July 7, 1955 in Cedar City, UT to Moroni Bleak Hyatt and La Reta Ann Bytendorp. 

May 20th, 1978, he married his sweetheart Lorna Rowley in Cedar City, Utah.  They were each other’s lifelong companions of 44 years and were blessed three wonderful children, Joshua, Isaac, and Carolyn.  They were later sealed in Dallas Texas Temple for time and all eternity. Earl has been a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was always serving and sharing the light of Christ with others.

Earl enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and raising his animals. He also enjoyed sharing his talent of barbecuing and sharing knowledge with his friends. Earl always had a story or joke to share.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lorna, his son Isaac and wife Amber of Idaho and his daughter Carolyn of Grapeland, along with his 8 grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his son, Joshua; his mother, La Reta; his brother, Chucky; and sister, Jeri. 

Funeral service were held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 31, 2023 in the Bailey & Foster Funeral Chapel in Grapeland with President Joe Ross officiating.  A visitation was held one hour prior to the service.  Burial followed in Latexo Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
