Romans 12 – “Total Dedication and Spiritual Gifts”

We have reached the Apostle Paul’s sixth major point in the book of Romans: Christians will do what is the will of God if they have dedicated themselves as a living sacrifice to God and are doing what they have been gifted to do.

“Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God (shown  to me, Paul), to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice,  acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship!

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of  your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

The Apostle Paul follows in verses 3-8 with a list of Spiritual Gifts.  Our job as Christians is to honestly evaluate ourselves as to which one of these gifts we have, and then be doing it.  I have the gift of teaching God’s Word, and I have been trained to do this by four years of Dallas Seminary instruction, graduating in 1966 with a major in N.T. Greek, following four years of college at Texas A&M, as a member of the Corps of Cadets, class of 1961.

I would like to offer instruction in N.T. Greek, Dispensations, the books of Genesis and Romans, and Expository Preaching at my house on Monday evenings (no tuition). Contact me if you are interested.
