“Confess and Keep Going”

When I was a counselor at a Christian camp after college, the No. 1 question boys asked (ages 9-12) was, “Will I still be a sinner after I accept Christ and become a Christian?”

I answered, “Yes, because you still have an old sinful nature.”

Then I told them what they must do when they sinned: “Confess” (admit you have done it, I John 1:9). Then ask the Lord to help you not to do it again by the power of His Spirit.

We will look at the first sin the Corinthian Church was guilty of next week, Lord willing.
